Litchfield County Campgrounds
There are many reasons to visit the Litchfield Hills. To some it is a reflection of a bygone era with picturebook village greens, covered bridges, and cobblestone courtyards...a place to relive history and rediscover nature's beauty. To others, it is a haven for another breed of pleasure seeker, the treasure hunter! Here in the "Hills" you will find fascinating enclaves of shops to explore...elegant antique stores located in grand colonial homes art and craft galleries, emporiums, country chic boutiques and even a bazaar!

Canoeing, kayaking and rafting are increasingly popular pastimes on the Housatonic River. Riverrunning Expeditions in Falls Village and Clarke Outdoors in Cornwall rent canoes and kayaks for river expeditions. Horseback riding on trails that meander through summer meadows and woods that come alive with the fire colors of the fall foliage is another way to see the bucolic countryside of the "Hills". We invite you to come and "Unwind" in the Litchfield Hills - for the history of it - for the wonder of it - for the fun of it!
